Sultans Of The Belly Dance
The Yeni Mosque, as seen in evening light from under the Galata Bridge in Istanbul, Turkey. The mosques are particularly well lit during Ramadan. Notice the fishing poles and whispy thin fishing line in the upper right hand side of this shot. Folks on the bridge were fishing right over our heads, hoisting up their ocassional catch while we dined below.Under the Galata Bridge

ALANYA CASTLE
The castle is located on a rocky cliff in the heart of Alanya city, approximately 250 metres above sea level. It is difficult to confirm the exact foundation date of the castle but contributions from the Romans, Byzantines and Seljuks are there to be seen. However the biggest influence on the size and shape of the castle can be ascribed to the Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat (13th century AD ), when the castle was extended and fortified to defend against the Crusaders. A 6.5 km town wall with 140 watch towers winds around the castle. The castle is surrounded by the sea from 3 sides, the 4th side was guarded by bastion and a turret. Alanya Castle is a popular tourist attraction. It offers spectacular views to the city, mountains and beaches in wide surroundings.
